The posting of Debra Peabody’s photo

Some of the comments to the post with the picture of Debra Peabody (the Boeing CEO’s mistress) have been highly critical.

Why post it? Just to have fun. Where’s the fun in life if you can’t get some cheap enjoyment at the expensive of rich people? Based on her impressive sounding title at Boeing, she must have been pulling in a big salary, so no one should feel the least big sorry for her.

No one seemed to have a problem with posting pictures of Harry Stonecipher, the CEO. This double standard is based on the notion that the woman is always the “victim” in this type of relationship.

I, for one, don’t see Debra as being any kind of victim. I have no idea what the truth is, but I suspect that Harry could have found himself a much better looking and younger mistress if such were his goal. Therefore I conclude that Debra is the one who initiated the affair. Maybe she’s turned on by powerful men? Maybe she was hoping that a relationship with Harry would lead to a promotion? Don’t be shocked, she wouldn’t be the first woman to use sex to gain money and/or power.
