I really respect Mary-kate and Ashley and I feel bad for their family that they have to go through all this, and ever since they turned 18 all the bad things have gotten to the tabloids. All I can say is don't believe everything you read or hear unless it comes right from the source. I am so sorry for what the Olsen family is going through, please get better soon Mary-kate!!!

I was shocked when I heard that, but yet at the same time, I wasn't. I mean, I had an idea that it would come sooner or later. After all, Mary-Kate is 18 years old. Not perfect. Anyway, true fans should stick by her right now at this time of need. I mean, didn't you hear? She was crying, because she wanted to be clean, and sober, and start fresh. I don't blame her. With the media around her 24/7 it certainly doesn't help. I mean, it probably hurts her, to know tons of little kids, and tweens look up to her, and now they find out that Mary-kate is on drugs! There are plenty of teenagers who manage to grow up clean, sober, and eating disorder-free without the benefit of being multi-millionaires.

I think that we shouldn't believe EVERYTHING we hear and that it might be true and it might not. Mary-kate might have drug addiction and might just have an eating disorder. No matter what atleast she's getting help and its probably a lot of stress always having the whole world watching everything you do and people always looking at your body and expecting you to look good. All i'm saying is it could be true and it also couldn't be true and if it is atleast she's getting help.

I completely disagree what people are saying about mary-kate. I do believe that she is a cocaine addict, but why are people saying that she should be ashamed and all that sh**! Just try to be in her position. Shes taking cocaine to try and stay thin. Wouldn't YOU feel uncomfortable when almost every person in the world is looking at you day and night seeing what youre doing etc etc!? How could both the girls mary-kate and ashley live a normal life like that. People should understand. It's very hard to be famous, so girls and boys fall into ditches sometimes while being a top celebrity. Mary-Kate happens to be one of those girls. Let's hope she get's better soon because Ashley could fall into one of those ditches since at the moment it's hard for her without Mary-Kate, they've always been together everywhere all their life.

I just want to give my two cents on this whole Mary-Kate drama that everyone is creating. I am guessing I am probably older than most of you that spectate on the issue, and could really care less about the personal lives of Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen. Personal lives are just that...personal lives. It's really nobody's business whether or not Mary-Kate is anorexic or a drug addict. My guess is that the latter is not true, but I, just as nobody else, cannot prove or disprove that. I don't know why you people find it so impossible to believe that she could merely have an eating disorder. Have you ever flipped thru a magazine and seen an ad featuring a woman that is even close to being overweight? The media puts a lot of pressure on "regular people" to be thin and beautiful...now imagine celebrities like Mary-Kate Olsen who is told by certain people that she HAS to be under a certain weight to maintain her CAREER. It's a sad world we live in, but why is everyone criticizing her for being anorexic, and now a coke addict. Anorexia is a disorder, a health problem, just as is MS, cancer, leukemia, etc. Do we sit and shun those people? And to all of you that believe the National Enquirer and Star stories saying she's a coke addict...do you also believe the stories about the 2,000 pound homosexual aliens that dropped down from Mars and are aiding Osama bin Laden in terrorizing the United States with freshly devised outer space ammunition? How do you think these corporations make their money? They sit and spectate on someone else's hard time, have a hay day with it by twisting it into something it's not, and profit largely off of it. Kind of sick if you think about it. I think anyone who believes all the ludicrous crap in those magazines should get a life and get educated by reading something credit worthy...start with a book on ettiquette...it will get you a lot farther in life than bantering a girl in troubled times.

The previous comment mixes up the Weekly World News with the National Enquirer. The latter publication has developed a reputation for accurately reporting on celebrity dirt. I DO believe that the National Enquirer is reporting the truth about Mary-Kate's cocaine usage.

And no, she's not entitled to be forgiven. If someone working at a regular job tested for cocaine, they'd be fired. Celebrities like the Olsens should be held to a HIGHER standard than regular office workers, not a lower standard.

I feel sad to hear that Mary Kate may addicted to drugs. For over a year now I have been watching my younger brother tear his life apart because he is addicted to a drug. It has been hard on the whole family, but I think it is especially hard on him. Regardless of the fact that she is a celebrity, this is something I would not wish upon anyone. Feeling ashamed or angry at her is wrong because, as someone else mentioned drug addiction (as well as anorexia) is an illness. It can happen to anyone, regardless of what you do for a living. My brother is doing what he can. He has managed to get a full time job for the summer & I am proud of him. He would be devastated to lose his job. We should not scoff at her because she is a celebrity going through a drug addiction. Nor should we say that she doesn't deserve to be a celebrity because of it (she must have worked hard to get where she is). I don't think it is something you choose to become. Although she is a role model for many young people, she needs to take care of herself first before trying to take care of the world. Think about it... regardless of the fact that they are now 18, in my eyes she is still a teenager, she still needs guidance and support, especially because of what she is going through right now. I am not exactly an Olsen Twin fan, in fact I find them to be irritating at times, but she is still a human being. We should not be mean about something as terrible as a drug addiction.

Since it has been rumoured that MK suffers from ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder), wouldn't it be more logical to think that this "drug" issue could be an issue of being addicted to the medication that treats ADD?

To put it simply, ADD medication like Ritalin, is like a very light version of meth or speed, and I have known friends who use it to not only treat ADD, but to lose weight as well.

Didn't anyone ever think of this possibility?

On a different note... I don't care if she has drug issues or not. If she did, it would be good for her to admit to it than be vehemently denying it because it will only hinder her progress in detoxing and staying clean.

I have to agree and say that why should she be any different since she's a celebrity? Things happen. Sure, she's role model for many young girls I'm sure, but she's also not perfect and shouldn't be considered so. Just because you're in the spotlight doesn't make you perfect, and at the same time, it's unrealistic to expect them (like anyone else) to be perfect.

Personally, the fact that she's admitted that she's being treated for ANY medical problem is commendable and I feel that I can still respect her for that.

But then again, I'm probably older than a lot of you and out of the way of being swayed by what a role model does. ^^;;;

So that's my two cents and regardless of WHAT she's being treated for, I do hope she enjoys better health and takes better care of herself.

Judging a problem like an overwhelming addiction, rather someone is famous or not, is so not right or anyones place to comment on something they know absolutely nothing about. An addiction does not mean someone is bad or irresponsible, but they have an illness that needs to be dealt with. The fact that she is seeking help is commendable, and until you've all walked someone elses shoes or understand a thing about the misery & illness addiction brings to an addict, you're all talking from the darkness of your ignorance. I don't think she should be ashamed, but proud to be brave enough to follow through with treatment & getting better. Give the girl a break! Give her some bloody support rather than unecessary ignorant comments. There's no shame in having an illness or an addiction as long as you are willing to act on getting better.

It seems like your all getting so moral about it, you've never been in their shoes, you dont know all they go through. Alot of drug adictions like that come from personal problems (i.e. stress), as something to get you away from everything, and in a life like theirs where cameras and the media are always on since you were a little baby, getting out would probley sound like a good idea. Being famous dosnt really seem to be all its cracked up to be.

Someone also mentioned earler getting out of the media, that would be an idea, but thats probobly easier said then done. They have been famous since as far as they can rember and since recently they didnt really even have much control of there famous lives because they wernt 18.

Shes only human, so she has flaws. And it could just be something she got in to and regreted it later, we've all done or will do something like that in our lives. The only thing diffrent is ours just you and maybe anyone elese relevant to it know about it, hers the whole world knows about it and the media has a field day on it.

All in all I dont blame her and hopes she gets over what ever it is, and giving her all this when you arn't even sure it cocaine just seems pretty mest up.

Look, Mary-kate was never addicted to cocaine. You notice how all the TABLOIDS said that she was addicted to cocaine, not newspapers and not magazines. Tabloids are always lies and they choose the worst pictures of people for the articles.Just because the family doesnt deny it- BUT DOESNT CONFIRM IT- doesnt mean that they are trying to protect Mary-Kate; they just dont want to start this big debate because they cant control what people say and if they say anything in her defense then it will make them seem guilty. Alright, this is for all the people who are bashing Ashley and Mary Kate. As a lot of people who commented have said, the accusations for mary kate being addicted to coke, are TABLOIDS. Have you ever seen a three headed alien in Rhode Island (as an earlier tabloid said)? NO, most of you probably don't even know where Rhode Island is...I happen to live there.
Mary Kate Olsen was raised GREAT. She's the most respectful and kind star I've ever heard of. Her parents raised her and her sisters and brother correctly. She is not a spoiled brat. Don't go around saying the two of them are spoiled brats addicted to cocaine!
And for the user who said Ashley needs more help than MK, get a life. She didn't go on vacation, she canceled it. The only time she was without her sister-due to rehab-was on her 18th birthday, when she was spending it happily.
Mary Kate is going through a difficult time, and I think that it's best if you annoying people who continually bash them, stay out of her life! Yes, she's famous, and her personal life has been made public, but where is your respect people?!?! If one of your friends doesn't want to talk about a problem they have, do you continue to hound them? No, you let them alone, sometimes it's best for them to figure things out themselves.
Stop talking trash about the Olsen family and worry about your own problems! Millions of people are addicted to coke and, millions more have eating disorders. Mary Kate is NOT perfect. I think she is happy that she is not; that would make things worse, believe it or not.

I think that all of you that are bashing the Olsen Twins are very wrong. How ever it was that said that Ashley Olsin needs more help was also very wrong. MK may be anarexic but that is no reason to bash her. If one of your friends or a family member was anarexic that doesn't mean that they are a bad person. They are just concerned with what other people think. And especially with Mk being a celebrity, having people look at the way you look everyday, would make her want to be skinny. You can't blaim her for that. She is responsible enough to get help for it even with all of yall saying that now she is a bad person and doesn't derserve to be a celebrity. I have looked up to the Olsins since i was little and i still will. Just because she has anarexia or may be addicted to coke doesn't mean that any of you should stop looking up to her. We totally agree with Rachel!! there is nothing that can make me believe that she took cocaine...another thing i can add about the Enquirer is that it was sued for LYING and printing FALSE INFORMATION!! Notice all other magtazines only have information about anorexia. I no that 77lbs is really lite for an 18 yr old but u have to realize that she is only 5'1"! the average weight for sum1 5'1" is like only 90-100lbs. i no thats 20 lbs more than her weight but cocaine has nothing to do with it.there is no proof that it is not just anorexia is there. I think that people have the rite to state their opinions but one person had said something about the olsens being 'spoiled brats' i think that is crap!and you cant really say that about people u dont really know...probly ppl u havnt even met ! they may have a lot of money but they were raised as good ppl and are definately not brats! "Health related issue" is very vague to be honest, but we have to realize at the same time we are completely ridiculous for believing anything we dont get straight from the source.

I am a recovering coke addict myself, im not proud of it but it's the truth, and if this the case for Mary-Kate then you guys have NO IDEA how hard it is to stop something like this no matter how much you want to.

She did not choose to be looked up to, you guys decided to look up to her, so if now you dont want to then dont criticize her. You have no right to anyways. It's not a certain lifestyle that attracts coke head. I am there age, and it would be the last thing you've ever suspect id be an addict to.

But I am far from feeling sorry for her. Some comments have said that its wrong that this is covered in the media because it happens to a lot of people. Well, the fact is that Mary Kate Olsen is not an average person. I really don't have any sympathy. It's the price you pay for making billions of dollars--too bad. There is a point in most peoples lives were they will experiment with drugs and the fact that Mary Kate is addicted to coke is totally believable. It's a drug that runs though Bills like Jello would chop sticks, and she has millions spare. I think its great that to know that she is being a teenager and trying know things but the sad part is she is OUT of control with it ! The most important thing is that she is trying to get help and change for the better , you cant change the past only learn from it, which doesnt mean she cant party but she needs to learn her limits.

I highly think there drug problems are overrated. if they want to snort a line i am sure they can afford it. i think that they should try freebasing though. Those skinny bitches probably already have though is the sad thing. That is wut happens when u have enough money u can afford anything. THe best case scenereo is them losing there drug habbits and gaining a little weight by drinking (especially in the tits area where they are both in need of some help). The Hollywood society suspects everyone to be skinny like a toothpick. There is sooo much pressure to be perfect and be skinny. No one is perfect that is impossible. I understand what Mary-Kate is going through, I have anorexia too. However, I don't have a drug problem like her(I really don't know if MK really has a drug problem). Why can't people understand the pressure of being skinny in the Hollywood life. I am in the show biz too and it's hard to have great self confidense and be "overweight" in the Hollywood life. I weigh 80 pounds and think I am fat, my show's director thinks I am fat, so I went on a diet. I give MK credit that she made it this far without being anorexic in her early years of show biz. I think that we should stay out of Mary-Kates business.. just becuz shes famous doesnt mean we have 2 sit n critize her.. everyone makes mistakes n soo many people in the world are addicted 2 cocaine. Im not sayin its a good thing that shes addicted but..cut her some slack theres alot of pressure in being famous, you always have to look good, dress good, watch how you act, watch wat you say, watch everything you do so you "dont look bad in the public eyes"..they're human too!! they arent any different than us except for the thousands of more money they have.. but they're allowed to make mistakes just as we are so why does all the press and things have to get in their business?? If a normal citizen was addicted to cocaine however, you wouldnt be seeing their faces on every magazine tellin different stories in everyone. Also, its not like this is the first time anyone has EVER heard about a celebrity being addicted to something. I know being addicted to cocaine is a serious matter and if you're addicted to it you need help, but look Mary-Kate did that. She went to rehab to fix herself but yet everyone still critizes. Just think if you were Mary-Kate and you were in her shoes ryte now..when u woke up or read the paper, or a magazine, and saw your face with big headlines tellin everyone about your problem, and at the same time thinking about how sooo many people are talkin about you when they dont really even kno the whole story, all those things are not goin 2 help her recover they are just goin 2 make things worse. Do you believe what you hear about Mary-Kate? Mary-Kate has been a role model to many of young children like myself. Im 13 and am a fan of the olson twins. When i read about her addiction, I didn't believe it. If it was coming from Mary-Kate i would but its not. Its coming from someone who wants to make money telling people lies. Mary-Kate i believe in you and know you are donig the right thing Eat wekk and get better!

Many people look up to little michael tanner off of full house no one ever belived she would be a crackhead when i was little i want to be just like the olsen twins. but when i found out mary-kate was on cocaine i didnt want to be like her anymore you lied about why you were in rehab you need to think about what you did :(

This is for everyone who thinks they know what they are talking about. Most of you that is writing this crap about how she's bad for being a coke addict or for the anorexia you people have probably never even experienced and that is exactly why you are saying the bool crap you people are saying.. well get over your selves...first of all have any of you personally seen her doing coke i am talking about her mary-kate snorting coke right in front of your eyes well if you say yes i seriously doubt it anyways until you have you can not honestly say you know mary-kate is doing coke...i know tons of people like as in my very good friends who (were) coke addicts they have went through it and i have went through it with them as in helping them and if they don't have someone to help they can't stop on their on and it doesn't make them bad people they are just like anyone else walking down the street with some sort of secret and some sort of addiction everyone has one and you know you do even if it isn't drugs. Stop talking about people who do drugs or have eating disorders because you could be a person who eats to freaken much and should be exposed for being a fat a$$ thankyou.... everyone has their own life and makes their own decisions and has their own problems does anyone understand what i am getting at probably not but that means IT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS AND YOU ARE JUST AS SCREWED UP AS ANYONE ELSE IS AND MAYBE EVEN WORSE BUT DOES THAT GIVE ANYONE THE RIGHT TO TELL EVERYONE YOUR SCREWED UP PROBLEMS TO EVERYONE AND GET THEIR OPINION ON IT .. look i am sure everyone wants to state their oppinion about mk and her sister but really if you dont have anything nice to say about them you shouldnt say anything at all.do they call everyone up talking about u? no i dont think so, so why are you talking about them? oh yeah and i am sure this will help mk deal with her anorexia with everyone saying she is on drugs she hasnt confirmed it so until then you shouldnt accuse her of it and besides in the bible it says to treat others as you want to be treated . what if i said you all were on crack to all the ones saying mk is on it? would you like thatvery much? i dont think so!i also agree with hannah one hundred%percent go hannah keep up the good work! and i hope mary-kate gets through her hard time very soon i think her and her sister are very nice girls.
