Is Clay Aiken gay?

Clay Aiken is the former American Idol contestant who is now a big pop music superstar. But with his fame comes discussion about whether he might be gay.

The Gay and Lesbian newsmagazine The Advocate features a special report devoted to this important question. The following deep commentary is offered:

My boyfriend talks about Aiken’s goal to become a special-needs teacher as one that screams out as a career track often pursued by gay men. And my boyfriend also points out that there’s a definite subset of closeted Christian males in their 20s (having been one himself) who have so successfully repressed their sexuality that they don’t even know that they’re really gay.

Nevertheless, Clay has publicly stated that he’s not gay. He also may have publicly stated that he’s a virgin. Or maybe he just implied that he’s a virgin. And that he’s never had a girlfriend.

Of course there’s a perfectly logical explanation for this that has nothing to do with Clay Aiken being gay. He was just a nerdy guy who was a complete loser with girls until he became famous. But that explains why he was a virgin. Now that there are thousands of young women who’d love to have sex with him because he’s famous, he is being held to a higher standard to prove his manhood.

But there's a perfectly plausible explanation here. He has hang-ups with respect to Christianity, shyness, and never having had any sexual experiences, so he just doesn’t know what to do now that he’s the guy that millions of girls actually want.

I can't believe Clay would ever do anything like that. I know he is not gay because i know his mother but just thinking of him running up behind a woman and grabbing her breasts just makes me want to puke.For some reason i feel like i don't want to be a claymate anymore

i dont think he is gay and that is definitely a fake picture that was placed there. he is much paler then the girl, she is very attractive but clay wouldnt grab a womans boobs he isnt like that he was voted best manners by some association. but he was definitely placed in the picture, if you look closely he doesnt fit and he wouldnt be making that kind of face

Way to go Clay! I never liked him but now that he grabs boobs of hot chicks, I am a "claymate." As far as the person who comment that he would not be making that face when he was grabbing her boobs, what is wrong with you? She is hot, has a nice rack, so of course he is going to be smiling.

katie commented that this picture has to be fake. Well, it's possible for people to make compelling fake photos using tools like Photoshop so it can never be discounted. But still, someone had to find a picture of Clay Aiken and one of Mezhgan his makeup artist. If someone found a publicly available photo showing either Clay Aiken or Mezhgan in those exact poses, but without the other in the photo, then that would sure be an interesting find.

Men normally have darker skin than women, but there are pale men and darker skinned women. Mezhgan is from Afghanistan (those Afghan women are obviously hot babes), so naturally she has a darker complexion than pale blue eyed Clay Aiken.

Let me point out that, assuming the photo is real, it's a posed photo. Clay wasn't grabbing Mezhgan's breasts surreptitiosly, he did it with her consent, and they held the pose for the person who took the photo.

The photo doesn't really mean much. Maybe Mezhgan really wanted to have sex with him, but all she got out of him was that photo.

There are two very similar photos of Clay and Mezhgan at Mezhgan's website.

Someone took a bunch of photos of them, and Clay was goofing around? Maybe Mezhgan was doing more than just Clay's makeup?

Wow. Is this really Clay Aiken fondling some woman's breasts? Is this some sort of photo "magic?" Are you sure he isn't just performing the Heimlich maneuver on her? She does look like she is choking....
Now if this was a photo of Clay performing a hernia exam on a male ("bear down and cough for me" while fondling his genatalia), then I would say it was an authentic photo without any alterations.

Alrighty I am a Huge clay fan and to me if he is gay or not it does not matter .He has amazing talent and he seems to be a great human being so .The issue of his sex life shouldn't matter. All my friends say he is gay, and they think it bothers me but it dosen't becasue I know in my heart that I love him not matter what !

That picture is NOT fake. I saw it on Mezghan's website when it was first found on her index by a fan. She immediately put protections on her site but it was to late. The picture had been found. Those that swear it is fake just can't handle that Clay is a man and not a 12 year old kid.

I don't think he is gay at all. I think he was shy and inexperienced but I doubt that is true now. He just doesn't talk about his private life. He says he is just hanging out at home with his dog. Yeah, and I have some swamp land for sale. He is stubborn and private and doesn't care what people think.

his sexuality should not matter in the slightest, that has nothing to do with his talent, his personality, or his character. I do not think he is gay at all, but maybe i'm just wishing. I'm so in love with him I refuse to believe it haha. but either way... this whole issue is pointless. I love Clay because his voice is phenominal and he seems like an amazing person. End of story.

Calm down people! Clay is human. He's a guy --a very nice guy, but not a saint, I'm sure. What's wrong with a little innocent fun between friends? I'm sure IF this picture is real, that it was not meant for us to see and judge. I checked out Mezhgan's site and saw a very similar picture with his arm clearly IN FRONT of her as in a hug, so my first thought was that it was a doctored photo (which is amazingly easy to do, by the way), but then I noticed that the position of their heads and the expressions were different, so I suppose it could be another picture. Something interesting to note, though... Mezhgan is in another photo wearing the same shirt, and this photo is with Sharon Osborne. Hmmm... just maybe she was in the room and egged the two on, you know... like a dare? Oh! Can you imagine such a thing?! My Goodness ME! (Geez!) Who wouldn't want to make Sharon Osborne laugh? Hell, she's goosed Prince Charles for cripe's sake. So, c'mon you Pecker-Head critics, give the guy a break and let him be real without over-indulging your every disgusting, cheap thought. "Cradling" a woman's breasts is more of a gesture of LOVE than lust and a far cry from gettin' in her pants! And whether or not he's used his [tool] is no business of ours, eh? Get a life!
