Jessica Cutler evening roundup, May 26

Jessica Cutler's parents learned that she had been fired when a news reporter from the Syracuse Post-Standard called them. How a Nottingham grad rocked Washington with her diary of sex tales.

The Jessica Cutler story got a brief mention tonight on CNBC's Capital Report.

I have been wondering where the archive site came from, so I emailed Kevin Aylward of WizBang who created it. He explained that he had viewed the site right before it went down, and all of the pages were still in his Internet Explorer cache! Kudos to Kevin for a great job of data recovery.

Were it not for Kevin's contribution, there wouldn't have been much to write about.

Why the original site went down, how someone got hold of Jessica's Blogger password to hack the site, and why the hacked site went down, remain a mystery. If anyone has any info on this, please email me.

Also a mystery is why various blogs were reporting Jessica's age as 23 before the Washington Post, New York Post, and Fox News all pegged her age as 24. Of course readers of this blog now know that she is really 26.

Website traffic to The Calico Cat nearly tripled over yesterday, and at the archive site traffic doubled. Is today the peak of interest in this story, or will tomorrow be even bigger?

it should be easy to figure out who aj and mk are in her blog. she writes that aj is an intern in dewines office - how many interns with the initials aj can there be in that office? as for mk, jessica says that was her serious long term boyfriend. obviously someone out there knows who was dating jessica for the past few years
